POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable, team-oriented Dining Services Team Member who takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, and supporting others. This role is essential to ensuring our kitchen and dining areas are consistently stocked, organized, and welcoming for employees.

Success in this role means being someone your team can count on every day—arriving prepared, following through on responsibilities, and stepping in to support wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.

SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday
No weekends or holidays

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Dependably complete all opening duties each morning to ensure the dining area is ready for service.
  • Maintain consistent stocking of the dining room and Agora Café with condiments, paper goods, and food items.
  • Assisting in daily food preparation
  • Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, and café offerings daily with attention to quality and presentation.
  • Routinely restock coffee and supplies on patient floors—ensuring no gaps in service.
  • Serve as a reliable backup to dishwashing operations as needed to support team flow.
  • Support catering and special organizational events with a positive, team-first attitude.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Communicate proactively with team members to ensure seamless daily operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic culinary preparation, and food safety standards.
  • Strong dependability and work ethic—consistently punctual, prepared, and accountable.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with team members and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a high-volume food service or restaurant environment preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role operates within a healthcare environment and requires a high level of physical activity throughout the day.

Must be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds (waist-high)
  • Stand for 60% or more of an 8-hour shift
  • Walk for up to 40% of an 8-hour shift
  • Bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead as needed
  • Perform repetitive hand movements (grasping and fine manipulation)
  • Maintain sensory awareness (vision, hearing, etc.) within normal range
