JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented team member to support our dining services. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for our staff and guests.
Success in this position requires strong dependability, consistency, and accountability—ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly, dishes and supplies are always available, and service standards are upheld without interruption.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Consistently report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties.
- Ensure dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and readily available at all times.
- Set up and close down dish machine according to company procedures with attention to detail and safety.
- Wash plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans, and utensils following strict sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
- Remove trash, recycling, and boxes promptly to support kitchen flow.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, wraps, and salads for Agora Café.
- Stock dining areas and café supplies (condiments, paper goods, food items) to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Provide support for special organizational events and functions as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive dining experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a high-volume restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Demonstrated history of reliable attendance and consistent performance strongly preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role operates in a healthcare setting and requires physical activity throughout the shift.
Must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand for up to 80% of an 8-hour shift
- Walk for up to 40% of an 8-hour shift
- Bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead occasionally
- Perform repetitive hand movements (grasping and fine manipulation)
- Maintain sensory abilities (vision, hearing, touch, etc.) within normal range (with correction if needed)
