Retail Specialist

Department: Café
Location: Omaha, NE

Role Summary:

This role will encompass the purchasing, displaying and selling of products in our retail environment and coverage in Agora Cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Managing cash tills and deposits, product, ordering, customer service
  • Reorder product to maintain stock in store, research and order new product
  • Research trends in product and merchandising to further enhance the store at Think
  • Oversee in-store promotional events and/or displays
  • Carry out product recommendations and special orders for patients, customers and employees
  • Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
  • Deal with complaints from customers to maintain Think’s reputation
  • Track sales and inventory working closely with Logistics, Accounting and IT (Square) to ensure accuracy and proper planning
  • Assist shoppers using excellent customer service, provide product recommendations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Square point of sale software, entering new products, running reports, maintaining and adjusting product information, etc.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, bring in new suppliers as needed
  • Cover cafe barista’s responsibilities, as needed
  • Assist shoppers using excellent customer service, provide product recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • 2+ years retail experience
  • 1+ year experience in ordering merchandise, displaying, and inventory
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent computer skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume restaurant required.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

  • This role operates in a healthcare setting. This position requires frequent standing and walking and allows employee to vary physical position or activity for comfort.

Must be able to:

  • Lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Stand 80% or longer of an 8-hour workday.
  • Walk 40% of an 8-hour workday.
  • Requires employee to: Bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level occasionally.
  • Requires repetitive use of hands for: Simple grasping, fine manipulation
  • Requires all sensory skills (speech, vision, smell, touch, and hearing) corrected to near normal range.
